Yes, prices seem to be improving - I suspect they have read the many posts on this and other websites complaining of the rental costs. Beware, there are still a few hire companies charging for a full tank of fuel if your rental is beyond 4 to 5 days and you bring it back as empty as possible. This is OK if you are going to use a full tank but you get no refund for any fuel that is left in the car when you return it! Good idea petercs. The best I could find today is with www.economycarhire.com who are currently charging around £13 per day for a 4 door Ford Fusion with air conditioning and radio which includes the extra insurance cover for tyres, windscreen, etc. BUT you have to pay on top of this for a full tank of fuel and return empty with no credit for fuel not used.
